High impact profile extrusion compoundApplications: Extruded profiles requiring high impact, good chemical resistance, weatherability, and excellent flammability resistance.Features: P54 is extremely resistant to cracking and abuse. Extrusion made with P54 are very resistant to harsh chemicals and solvents and to clearing agents. Weatherability of P54 is quite dependent on the color and condition.Processing: This compound should be processed using rigid PVC extrusion equipment under standard PVC operating conditions. Barrel temperatures in an extruder should be set at 166-171°C and adapter and die temperatures should be 171-177°C. Screw RPMs of 23 to 33 are typical. Typically single screw extruders are used for pelletized material and conical twin screw extruders for powder.
