Material Notes:
Weatherable profile extrusion compoundApplications: Extruded profiles requiring weatherability, high flexural modulus, and excellent flammability resistance. Features: Weatherability is dependent on color and condition. P55 is a rigid compound with a high flexural modulus. Extrusion made with P55 are very resistant to harsh chemicals, solvents, and to cleaning agents.Processing: This compound should be processed using rigid PVC extrusion equipment under standard PVC operating conditions. Barrel temperatures in an extruder should be set at 166-171°C and adapter and die temperatures should be 171-177°C. Screw RPMs of 23 to 33 are typical. Typically single screw extruders are used for pelletized material and conical twin screw extruders for powder.
