Mallard Creek Polymers ROVENE® 4049 SBR Latex

ROVENE® 4049 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. This binder has the ability to be cross-linked with external cross-linking agents. ROVENE® 4049 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays, and alumina tri-hydrate. Sodium poly-acrylic thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. These compounds dry rapidly and imparting good tensile strength with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. Films demonstrate highly water and grease resistant coatings with low moisture vapor transmission.APPLICATIONS: ROVENE® 4049 is recommended for applications in specialty paper coatings, textiles/NW’s, adhesives, and paper lamination.Information provided by Mallard Creek Polymers
