Material Notes:
ROVENE® 4817 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. This binder is crosslinkable with external crosslinking agents. ROVENE® 4817 can be compounded to high solids using clays, whiting, and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are recommended to increase viscosity. These compounds show high drying rates, imparts good tensile strength, and has good adhesion to a wide variety of fibers.APPLICATIONS: ROVENE® 4817 is recommended for applications in carpet and upholstery backcoating.Information provided by Mallard Creek Polymers
