Material Notes:
Polybenzimidazole (PBI) solutions are suitable products for film casting, dip coating, spray coating and resin impregnation. PBI can be firmly adhered to steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, nickel- chromium, glass, ceramics and plastics. PBI coatings are highly resistant to heat and chemical attack. PBI will provide electrical insulation and wear resistance.S26 is a solution containing nominally 26% w/w PBI solids in conjunction with 1.5% w/w LiCl salt in dimethylacetamide (DMAc) to  form a 2100 Poise solution. This grade is easily thinned and can be used for films or coatings.The LiCl stabilizer imparts long shelf life and can be easily removed with an 85°C, 1-hour, aqueous wash of a thin film.Information provided by PBI Performance Products
