ThyssenKrupp FR-30® Fire Resistant Steel

With the newly developed FR 30 fire resistant structural steel from TKS there is now the possibility, for the first time, to create steel structures with a fire resistance rating up to F30 without additional protection and without the otherwise customary fire protection precautions. It is possible to design structural components made from the FR steel in the unprotected condition, i.e. without any additional fire protection precautions, for fire exposure lasting up to 30 minutes (fire resistance rating F30) with extent-to-area ratios U/A = 60 to 100 m-1.Information Provided by Thyssen Krupp
