Tra-Con Tra-Bond FS482 Long Pot Life High Tg Fiber Optic Epoxy Adhesive

TRA-BOND FS-482 is a dark blue, low viscosity epoxy adhesive developed for fiber-optic bonding and small volume potting of plastic or glass optical fibers, lenses and prisms, LED displays, and other optical components. It is recommended for laminating, bonding, and sealing applications using biconic and other F/O connectors where excellent wetting, long pot life and improved impact strength properties are required. This two-part epoxy adhesive is easily mixed at room temperature, remains at less than 3,000 cps at 25°C (maximum) for 40 minutes (minimum) and develops strong, tough bonds to glass and glass fibers, ceramics, many metals, and most rigid plastics. TRA-BOND FS-482 offers good mechanical impact and thermal shock resistance, and is also resistant to weather, water, gases and vapors, petroleum products, salts, and mild acids and alkalis.
