Corning Vycor® 7930 Porous Glass

Open cell porous glass which exhibits excellent moisture absorbing properties ("thirsty"). It is mechanically hard and strong, nondusting, nonflaking, and chemically inert. These properties allow it to be employed as a noncontaminating getter - it rapidly absorbs water and organic contaminants. It is often used for filtration and separation of compounds.
